At Markets.com, you can trade in foreign currencies, shares, indices, commodities, and CFD:s. (Note: Binary options are no longer offered by Markets.com, following global regulatory prohibitions and the brand’s complete transition to multi-asset CFD, FX, and spread betting brokerage services.)

Why are so many commodity and multi-asset traders using Markets.com? Here are a few reasons:

  • It is possible to carry out very small trades here (as low as micro lots / 1 GBP). This means that you don’t need a big bankroll to get started, and that you can carry out fairly complex diversification schemes and risk spreading even with a pretty limited bankroll.
  • Markets.com doesn’t charge withdrawal fees.
  • An open position can be closed by the trader at any time.

Trading platform

Markets.com is a CFD broker, providing both its bespoke Markets.com Web Trader platform as well as support for MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5). The proprietary web platform is bespoke, user-friendly, and packed with integrated technical tools and sentiment data. We recommend that you use the free demo account to familiarise yourself with the platform before you do any real-money trades. You need to sign up with your email address to get access to a demo account filled with 10,000 GBP in demo-money.

When trading CFDs on commodities or other instruments, you start out by selecting the asset class for the underlying, e.g. commodities. You then get to filter your request further by making sub-choices. When you have selected your underlying asset, an interactive price graph and order execution panel will be displayed.

You can use the star icon to add assets to your favourite list. This makes it easier to find your favourite assets when you’re ready to place new trades.

Mobile app

Mobile trading apps are available for Android and iOS devices. Through the trading app, you get access to the same underlying assets – including commodities – as when you access Markets.com through your web browser.

Banking

A lot of different banking methods are accepted by Markets.com, including several credit cards, debit cards and e-wallets (e.g. Skrill, Neteller, PayPal, and Apple Pay depending on region). You can also use wire bank transfer.

Markets.com charges no withdrawal fees, which is a great thing that has been very well received by the traders.

Other features

  • Advanced tools available for charting and technical analysis. This includes convenient chart scaling, overlay technical analysis (Bollinger bands, moving averages, etc), the option to set your own moving average time frames, and the ability to annotate by hand (add bespoke trend lines, channels, support, resistance, etc).
  • A lot of high-quality tutorials, including tutorials on risk management. You will also have access to market analysis, daily financial commentary, and integrated financial news feeds.
